“Love Socks” represents the true spirit of independent filmmaking. The film was made by being fuelled only by pure passion for films, funded only by very long hours of continuous work, many amazingly talented people and the support of many big heart businesses that provided their stunningly beautiful locations all around Sydney to support the filmmakers to tell the love socks story.

LOVE SOCKS MOVIE SYNOPSIS

LOVE SOCKS is a heart-warming story about love, family, friends and bodily function anomalies!

It’s a romantic comedy that follows the story of Frederica. As a child she is diagnosed with a phenomenon known as Raynaud’s, which in her case means she will sneeze forever. Frederica discovers her only respite from this affliction is to wear socks to provide warm to her extremely cold feet. The film exposes the heartaches that ensue when she loses her socks and how her insecurities affect and jeopardize her relationships.

Ultimately, LOVE SOCKS is about letting go of our fears, those inner voices holding us back from opportunities and embracing life and happiness.

The film stars a stellar Australian cast, including Michele Mattiuzzi (Home & Away), Shailla Quadra (Dealing With Destiny), Natalie Rose (The Makeover), Khanh Trieu (Fat Pizza), Olga Markovic (Deadly Woman), Amber Gokken (Gabriel), and many more!

Cinematography by Jack Kelly (Other World) and Marc Stimson (LARP), and a beautiful international soundtrack with some of the best voices from Australia & Brazil, including Snez, Sally Street, Daniel Fontes, Mano Tales, DJ Doido and many more!

LOVE SOCKS is the first feature film as a Writer-Producer-Director-Actress for the film creator Shailla Quadra.

LOVE SOCKS is partly based on true events.

Florida Premiere of Love Socks Movie

Thank you everybody who has been joining us at our screenings around the world, and for all the great feedback that you have been enjoying the Love Socks experience!

Now we are very please to announce that LOVE SOCKS will have its Florida Premiere, at the Florida Movie Festival, at the Cinematique of Daytona, in Daytona Beach, from 18th – 20th of March 2016.

Singapore Premiere of Love Socks Movie

Thank you so much for the amazing support of all Love Socks Team, Supporters, Friends and Fans!

Thank you everybody who joined us at our hometown Premiere, at Sydney at the Sydney Indie Film Festival!

It was a bless and an honour to be able to have our Australian Premiere in the company of some of world’s best in our session, which included “Glow” (Australia) by Ren Thackham, “Lady Luck” (UK) by Jo Lewis, “The Autumn of Zao” (France) by Nikolaus Roche-Kresse, and “Love Anything” (Switzerland) by Etienne Theytaz.

Now we are very please to announce that LOVE SOCKS will have its Singapore Premiere, at the World International Film Festival!

Thank you to the World International Film Festival for selecting our love story and supporting our love for films!

The World International Film Festival will take place in Singapore, from the 8th till the 14th of January 2016, at the GV VivoCity cinemas.

Shailla – Brazilian-Australian Actress-Writer-Producer-Director-Editor

Some actors are referred as “triple threat” when they can act, dance and sing, well, Shailla can be referred at least as “quintuple threat” with all her avid skills as actress and filmmaker that keeps her continuously moving forward.

Shailla was nominated for the Best Lead Actress Award at the NYCIFF – New York City International Film Festival 2011 for her performance in “Brad Fitt Will Be Mine”, film which she also wrote, produced, directed and edited.

She is now finishing up post-production of her first feature film as a Writer-Director-Producer-Actress-Editor, LOVE SOCKS (www.lovesocksmovie.com).

Shailla speaks fluent Portuguese.

Shailla also speaks a little bit of Spanish and Italian; and has also performed in Spanish at the feature film “Who Pays The Hitman”, and in French at the short film “The Kiss”.
