Trailer for upcoming Film-Documentary “I Love New York” by Shailla Quadra, an open heart journey in New York in August 2011.
“I went to New York to attend the premiere of “Brad Fitt Will Be Mine” at the New York City International Film Festival. Got run over by a bicycle on my second day, and miraculously the worst contusions got better just in time to attend the Opening Night Gala of the Festival!
I got to catch up with my dear old friends and former classmates from when I used to study in NY, and made amazing new friends from all over the world.
This film also features the very inspiring speeches by Award Winning “Dancing on the Edge” Director Alexander Mackenzie, and by Award Winning Actress Sally Kirkland, and exclusive interviews with Award Winning “Neutral Territory” Writer and Producer Joel Mark Harris, and with Award Winning Hawaian TV Host Tina Quizon, from Pathways to Paradise.
The film also cover the experience of being in New York on the eve of the historical Hurricane Irene, which caused quite a frenzy with all the water gallons, and bread, and flashlights and batteries being sold out because everybody was preparing for the worst, and the complete city shutdown, where all the subways and buses and shops had to be closed for everybody’s safety.
The film also features my dear friend, actress and singer Tricia Keens, who kindly said yes for my request of filming her with my mobile phone when she told me she is now an Opera singer while she took me to a tour at the UN.
And the awesome music featuring in this video, is super talented Australian band As Rockets Fall, check out their facebook page to find out when they are playing live next and find out more about their work: http://www.facebook.com/asrocketsfall Thank you  to all my wonderful friends who have being part of this amazing journey called life!
Lots of love!
Shailla”
